All club players have a rating based on the
RatingsCentral Rating System. These
ratings are used for NCTTA Competition also. These ratings are similar to
the USATT Ratings but are more accurate as they involve an Accuracy factor.
The lower the accuracy factor, the more accurate the scores, an accuracy
factor of <100 makes the rating realistic.
Ratings go from 0 to 3000, the World Champion is rated
close to 3000, while a Top College player is rated usually between
2000-2200. The average college player has a rating around 1500, while a good
ping-pong player (recreational player) is usually rated between 1000-1200.
Below we have all the ratings of the current Virginia Tech Table Tennis Club
members, they will be updated on a regular basis.
